About the role

We conduct applied research in close collaboration with Swedish industry, including within infrastructure, materials technology, process, energy, and automotive industries.

As a researcher, you will:

• Work in research and development projects that solve real industrial problems.
• Gradually take on more responsibility – from contributing to project parts to leading your own projects.
• Receive support and supervision from senior researchers and specialists.
• Develop both technically and professionally in a secure and learning-oriented environment.

Education of future welding engineers is also a key part of our operations, in collaboration with KTH and the Welding Commission. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute your knowledge and learn about new areas along the way.

Who are you?

As a person, you are curious, engaged, and eager to learn. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy taking responsibility, and are happy to share ideas and knowledge with others.

We especially welcome candidates who have:

• Welding Engineer competence (IWE) and/or several years of experience in joining/welding.
• A Master’s degree (Civilingenjör) or PhD in materials technology, production technology, or a similar field.
• Good communication skills in both Swedish and English.

Meritorious (but not required):

• An interest in pedagogy and/or experience in supervision/teaching.
• Previous experience in project management.
• Experience in applying for public funding.

The workplace is located in Kista. Travel is included in the position. A driver’s license is meritorious but not required.
